 THE RESTAURANT

Nestled in the center of the West Loop & Fulton Market District, Bar Takito is a Latin inspired shared-plate concept that draws its inspiration from Mexico, Central and South America. The ambiance is spectacular, as you dine underneath gigantic theatre lights, served by an attentive staff that prides itself on an authentic & approachable experience. The 130 seat restaurant comes from the same hospitality operator who the wildly popular Takito Kitchen in Wicker Park by owner/operator Mario Ponce.

THE MENU

The menu, which uses fresh and local ingredients, features seasonal shared plates, ceviches, seafood from the plancha, arepas and more. Staying true to its Takito roots, the menu includes a variety of artisan taco options where every tortilla is “handmade”, along with shared plates that are sure to tantalize your palate. In line with the restaurant’s name, Bar Takito integrates elements of the bar together with the food utilizing ingredients like bitters, hops, malt, spirits, beer and wine. The complementary beverage program offers an expansive specialty cocktail, margarita, and craft beer selection.

Designed by D+K Architects and Interior in conjunction with designer Alex Alcott, the space houses about 130 to 160 people for lunch, dinner, and soon-after-opening, brunch. Bar Takito has a semi-private area with a private bar that accommodates 40-seated guests and 50 to 60 standing. In the warmer months, Bar Takito has a 60 to 80-seat patio along Morgan St.
